Most women are well-aware that facelifts and breast implant plastic surgery in Temecula can lead to a more youthful look – and coupled with other advanced anti-aging treatments like Botox, microdermabrasion, and laser resurfacing, the look of youth can be within arm’s reach. But now, according to a new study covered at Surgery.org, hand rejuvenation may be just the ticket in achieving all-around youthfulness and renewal. And as some plastic surgeons in Temecula attest, the look of youthful hands can make all the difference in how youth is perceived.

As women get older, the hands can truly take a toll, leading to crepiness, age spots, and a loss of natural fat and volume. As aging progresses, skin on the hands can appear thin, fragile, and translucent – barely a surprise considering how much work (and abuse) our hands must endure over the years. Our hands are like mirrors into our unique lifestyles – and age is no exception. That’s why now more than ever, women are turning to hand rejuvenation therapy – also dubbed as the “hand lift” — akin to the facelift and eye lift women are already well-familiar with.

Some unlucky women also have the misfortune of hands that look far older than they should appear. These unwanted signs of aging can come from too much sun damage, dark age spots, and unusually rough use over the years. Fortunately, with the new advances in cosmetic procedures, a hand lift can be a great way to achieve younger-looking hands and an overall more youthful appearance.

It’s in the details: youth at your fingertips

Injectables in Temecula

When hands experience the loss of fat and volume, skin can appear thin and fragile. To plump up hands to their original youthful fullness, some plastic surgeons turn to injectable fillers like Radiesse, Perlane, or Juvederm to replenish volume.

Laser treatments in Temecula

When skin needs resurfacing, a plastic surgeon may opt for laser therapy which uses intense pulsed light and even a CO2 laser to diminish the look of dark spots and other sun damage. For more advanced hand rejuvenation therapy, a plastic surgeon may also use a Fraxel laser to deeply resurface the skin and lighten any discoloration.

Fat reassignment

For a longer lasting approach, some patients are advised to undergo fat reinjection which deposits fat from one area of the body to the hands. This approach leads to longer-lasting, youthful-looking hands.

Patients are encouraged to call Dr. Kincaid, one of Temecula’s best plastic surgeons, at 951-695-9934 to schedule a consultation on hand rejuvenation therapy. There are many options available and the doctor can make a customized recommendation that can lead to the youthful, beautiful hands you’ve always imagined.

It’s no surprise that medi-spas are gaining popularity in San Diego, California, and the rest of the United States. It makes sense since medi-spas can be convenient , quick, and even inexpensive. In addition to Botox injections in San Diego, men and women are turning to medi-spas to get their favorite beauty treatments including fillers like Restalyne and Radiesse, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, and even some forms of liposuction. But as a new report suggests, some medi-spas can mean risky business.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is reporting on a new investigation in Vancouver where two unlicensed individuals were illegally injecting unsuspecting patients with Botox to treat fine lines and wrinkles at an two unnamed clinic.

As a part of the investigation, a news reporter went undercover and was told she would meet with a doctor to complete the procedure. The man, who went by the alias “Dr. Lee,” admitted he was not a doctor after the woman asked about his credentials. As for the credentials themselves, Dr. Lee simply explained, “Yes, you need to be a doctor [to inject Botox]… I’m not a doctor… so it is not illegal, and it is also not legal either.”

“Dr.” Lee, whose credentials were not confirmed, went on to add, “I’ve been to a lot of seminars, I been trained by a few doctors around the world to do Botox. If you know what you’re doing, then just do it.”

At the other Vancouver clinic, the injector also admitted she was not a licensed medical provider but insisted her qualifications were enough to administer Botox injections. Despite her confidence in applying the product, a patient at the clinic filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau following a collapsed eyelid that remained shut for weeks.

Botox Injections in San Diego: a board-certified plastic surgeon is your safe bet

Only licensed trained medical professional are allowed to administer Botox injections in San Diego. In addition, the makers of Botox – Allergan, Inc. – won’t sell official product to unlicensed facilities, which may force unlicensed medi-spas to source their Botox on the black market. Worse, some injectables may not even be Botox at all.

To be on the safe side, always seek a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon in San Diego to administer your Botox injections. A medical doctor is specifically trained to safely inject the neurotoxin in the muscles of the face and can safely recommend points of injection to avoid drooping lids, unnatural results, or a stiff appearance.

So, what’s more effective – Botox or bee stings?

A new product is hitting the beauty shelves this month said to contain more than 10,000 bee stings – an ingredient that may make some cringe with the very thought. Maunka Doctor, the anti-aging cream that uses bee poison brought on by a sting, is unique — but the larger question is: does it work? The verdict is still out.

Meanwhile, Botox in Temecula is a tried and true method that is tested and approved by the Federal Drug administration as a safe cosmetic treatment. But the cream, while it has its share of fans, makes no such promise despite the buzz its garnered in the press recently. But according to the Huffington Post,  sales for the bee sting cream are up 3,000 percent, being dubbed “nature’s alternative to Botox.”

Few cosmetic beauty creams can stand up to Botox, however. And other injectables like Juvederm, Restalyne, and Sculptra – generally all of which provide long-lasting, natural results without the risk of the “buy and try” method – are also popular choices for men and women looking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles using a minimally-invasive approach.

As Surgery.org is reporting, Botulinum Toxin type A is the primary ingredient used in the Botox injectable. This primary ingredient is used to block nerve signals, thereby reducing activity in the facial muscles that often produce wrinkles. That’s why so many men and women turn to the proven results of Botox Cosmetic.
