Much of the plastic surgery process involves technology

Technology in a medical practice makes a great deal of difference when delivering services to patients.  According to a local article a local non profit was awarded a substantial grant to  help medical offices offer wireless options.

A pair of San Diego philanthropists gave $20 million to the West Wireless Health Institute on Wednesday to jump-start product development at the La Jolla facility, which could emerge as a leading player in the international movement to improve medical care with cell phones and other devices.

The latest donation from Gary and Mary West — who had given $45 million in 2009 to launch the nonprofit organization — will help the institute recruit more engineers. Those workers will create equipment that relies on wireless networks to track patients’ health conditions, remind them about medications or alert their doctors when a problem surfaces.

Dr Stuart Kincaid is committed to the latest technology for his patients. Often times the search for a plastic surgeon can be very consuming. It can be confusing as large amounts of information and different recommendations are given by different plastic surgeons.  Dr Kincaid offers a state of the art 3D system that allows patients to visualize what they may look like after breast augmentation or facelift surgery.  Technology will never replace the one on one conversation with Dr Stuart Kincaids patients; technology is just a tool.
