Plastic surgery blog:Only 6.5 of adults are active at work

job interview3 Plastic surgery blog:Only 6.5 of adults are active at workIt seems as though going to work used to be a form of exercise itself. Now it appears as though many Americans sit in a cubicle at work the majority of the day. It is not surprising that this lack of activity brings on new challenges. Dr. Stuart Kincaid consults with patients who complain that their abdominal spread had become something they can no longer treat effectively. Many have tried exercise and diet with little to no success. Dr. Stuart Kincaid fortunately can offer a few different options for the patient. For some, he may recommend traditional liposuction. For others, he may recommend Zerona laser liposuction. If there is loose and lax skin then the recommendation will most likely beabdominoplasty. As more patients  experience less activity at work, it is inevitable that they will explore  plastic surgery options. According to CBS San Diego  health researchers say only about 6.5 percent of U.S. adults meet physical activity guidelines while they’re working. And those that do are disproportionately Hispanic men and men with less than a high school education.

The national estimate — the first of its kind — was reported Thursday in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention publication, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. It’s based on a 2007 national telephone survey.

Somewhere between 45 percent and 65 percent of adults say they exercise enough outside of work to meet government recommendations for physical activity, according to earlier studies.
