Plastic Surgery Blog: Heatwaves Expected to Be Prevalent; Are You Swimsuit ready?

According to a recentnewsstory, the summer is on tap to have more uncharacteristic California heat waves.  According to the article The Scripps Institution of Oceanography stated in a summary of on-going climate change research that severe heat waves are predicted to become common across California throughout this century, a change that would have a profound effect on everything from public health to energy consumption. SIO is referring to the sort of heat waves that increased temperatures to 100 degrees or more for at least three consecutive days in 1955 and 2006. The institution’s scientists advised energy utilities on their work, which is scheduled to be published in 2013. In the conclusion of the research, SIO climate researcher David Pierce said, “We’ll start getting these kinds of heat waves more frequently by 2020 and by 2070, they’ll become frequent.” The frequency of the heat waves hasn’t been pinpointed in part because climate models aren’t exact and scientists don’t understand how forecasted climate change will affect the coastal marine layer, which maintains a cooling effect. Pierce added in the statement, “That matters because the marine layer makes a big difference to energy use, since so many people live near the coast, but the new models are the best look we have yet at what the future climate is likely to hold.”   As the weather heats up women are bound to think about swimsuit season with either anticipation or anxiety. Dr. StuartKincaid encourages women to consider improving their body contour and creating a more proportionate bust line if they are unhappy with the contour of their body and size and shape of their bust line. Contrary to what some patientsmay believe liposuctionof 1 to 2 areas of the body such as abdomen or outer thighs combined withbreastaugmentation using breastimplantscan usually be performed in the same surgical setting. Most patients welcome this option for both financial savings as well as logistically having one recovery period which ca be easier to schedule then two separate surgeries. Patients who have these procedures with Dr. Stuart Kincaid are overwhelmingly happy and most cannot wait to purchase their swimsuit for the summer.   Become a Fan on Facebook      Follow us on Twitter
