Plastic surgery blog: Abstain from sex to improve the relationship?

male female relationships Plastic surgery blog: Abstain from sex to improve the relationship? No sex in a relationship- a good thing? A recent channel 10 news report  interviewed a professional that counsels couples and singles to hold out on sex. The thought is that it will  give the couples time to relate without sex clouding the substance of the interaction.  There is always a  chance that the woman may feel rejected when the sex is halted in the relationship.

Dr Stuart Kincaid consults with patients who share with him concerns about their relationships that could include rejection felt from a spouse.  Women sometimes feel like they are not sexy enough for their husbands especially after having children. Dr Stuart Kincaid performs breast augmentation for women who have become dissatisfied with their breast. He offers both saline and silicone implants. If a breast lift is needed most times he can perform both procedures together. Dr Stuart Kincaid can also address the abdomen by tightening the skin, removing the excess skin and stretch marks,  and tightening the muscles. This creates a very flat and sexy abdomen. Dr Stuart Kincaid is careful to explain that the surgery must be a desire for the woman not for her partner. Plastic surgery is a woman’s decision and will only improve her self -esteem if the decision is for her alone.

Teens can benefit from plastic surgery

Most  parents want the best for their children. As the past few years have been challenging for many Americans their teens have suffered also. A recent study was reported on our local 10 news highlighting the rise in teen mental health issues. Teens suffering depression and anxiety were on the rise.

Dr Stuart Kincaid meets with parents concerning their teens and plastic surgery.  Some may believe that teens having plastic surgery is about vanity and self-loathing. This is largely not the case. Dr Stuart Kincaid consults with some teens in need of a breast reduction. Some teen girls have breast that are so large they cannot exercise, they have pain in their back and shoulders, numbness in their fingers and deep grooves from the bra straps.  Dr Stuart Kincaid performing a breast reduction on teen girls with these issues can be life changing. Many of these girls suffer from depression. Helping them to become more mobile and confident can help. Plastic surgery blog: The Best Time to Buy Stuff

busy shopping mall Plastic surgery blog: The Best Time to Buy Stuff

Shopping for bargins is good; in plastic surgery...not so much

Here is great local on line article that  gives tips on the best time to make purchases.  The points are informative and believable, We were happy to see that the article did not include plastic surgery like a random purchase. Many so called “experts” will tell you that when plastic surgeons are not busy that is the time to schedule surgery. Dr  Stuart Kincaid believes that patients should select board certified plastic surgeons with many years of experience , a permanent location, and a steady flow of patients. Dr  Stuart Kincaid explains to his patients that while the economy has effected almost every plastic surgeon, plastic surgeons should still  be committed to offering exceptional results, safety, and service.  The most popular procedures, breast augmentation, liposuction, and face lifts are very competitive among both plastic surgeons and non-plastic surgeons. While Dr Stuart  Kincaid has extended promotional offers as a courtesy for his patients he is not in favor of plastic surgery price wars between doctors. He insist that his patients are clear on his medical recommendation and understand the reasons behind  his recommendation. When patients decide to perform price comparison Dr Stuart Kincaid encourages his patients to be sure they are comparing like credentials, experience and results. In the end the decision is solely the patients.

Plastic surgery blog: Cats can keep us healthy and reduce stress

Woman with cat Plastic surgery blog: Cats can keep us healthy and reduce stress

A cat can help reduce stress. Plastic surgery can erase the effects of stress

Our health should be  one of our  most important areas of  focus. A recent report on news channel 8 reported that a study showed a link between healthy stress free adults and cat ownership. The interaction and admiration according to the study appeared to be mutual.

Dr Stuart Kincaid a board certified plastic surgeon consults with his patients concerning ways to erase the signs of stress and aging from the face.  He lets them know that while he can treat the negative effects on the appearance  it is the patients responsibility to remove the stress from their lives.  Injectable fillers like Juvederm or Restylane can soften lines around the mouth and lips.  Botox helps to treat the lines on the forehead many of which are a direct result of  stress.  Dr Stuart Kincaid encourages patients to begin addressing signs of stress and aging surgically as soon as they begin to notice changes that can not be rectified with injectables or facial treatments. A facelift is not something patients should wait too long to have performed. When Dr Stuart Kincaid performs a facelift on a younger patient their results are better than an older patient because the skin has more elasticity. A facelift remains  one of the best values in plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery blog: The decisions of women are rooted in self-worth

woman with many children Plastic surgery blog: The decisions of women are rooted in self worth

Choose to balance life, children, and your future

One fact that remains consistant  is that most plastic surgery patients are women. With that being said, women bear a great deal of responsibility in the 21st century. The ability to balance life, family and career become more and more difficult to achieve. A recent local  on-line advice column printed a question from a single mother asking if she should wait to marry a man with four children by three different women.  The two advice columnist agreed that waiting would be a big mistake. Both indicated that self-worth is helpful in making the decision to leave this relationship behind.

Dr Kincaid consults with many women who  have had a blow to their self -worth. It could be a recent divorce, or a body ravaged from pregnancy and weight gain.  Dr Kincaid offers body contouring procedures including liposuction, abdominoplasty, and bodylifts. Breast augmentation is a procedure that often helps women gain more self-confidence. While  these procedures dramatically change the patients appearance the real transformation is seen as women are able to increase their wardrobe selection. The clothes that now fit almost perfectly right off of the rack can bring a huge smile to a patients face.  An enviable cleavage line can help patients to feel a renewed confidence and the decisions that are made are from a place of confidence.

san diego beaches Plastic surgery blog: Sunny, warm and dry

San Diego is a great destination for plastic surgery

That has been the forecast for San Diego since January 1st. It is no wonder that San Diego  is the perfect destination  for prospective plastic surgery patients all over the world.

Dr Kincaid , board certified plastic surgeon in San Diego has a practice that is accustomed to treating patients from all over the world. With the global economic financial slow down San Diego (and Dr Kincaid in particular) has become a great value. When patients are considering Dr Kincaid for plastic surgery he encourages the patient to first speak with him by telephone. In this conversation Dr Kincaid listens intently as the patient explains their desires. Then Dr  Kincaid explains the procedure in detail. The next step is for the patient to e-mail photos. Dr Kincaid explains that he is not making a diagnosis by phone. He is using the photos as a guideline to help him determine an estimated diagnosis and subsequenlty  a  surgery fee.  The amount of time due in San Diego prior to surgery will vary by procedure as well as patient.  Typically patients having breast augmentation only need to be in town the day before. Other procedures like abdominoplasty, liposuction, facelift, and, thigh or arm lift,  should come into town a few days before to allow for time to secure the right post surgical garment, and any additional test Dr Kincaid may order.  Dr Kincaid and his staff are prepared to expertly handle the needs of out of town patients and help  them to feel right at home.

Plastic surgery blog:Seniors are healthier than ever why not look your best?

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010
Although seniors are living longer than ever before, many in our society write them off as little more than people waiting to die. For many seniors nothing could be further from the truth. Our local San Diego online news source focused on a group of seniors using different assisted living options to prolong their independence. This is wonderful because that is the desire of most senior adults. But, what about seniors who are healthy and spry? The ones that have a full social life and want to look their best?

This is the senior population Dr Kincaid  treats. It is not unusual for seniors to want a facelift.  For some it may even be a secondary facelift.  Dr Kincaid finds that these patients do extremely well with both recovery and results. If the patients is not healthy enough to have surgery under anesthesia, then Dr Kincaid recommends injectables. Botox can smooth lines in the forehead and crows feet.Juvederm can fill in some areas that appear sunken.  The new Sculptra is also an option. In times past plastic  surgeons were reluctant to recommend elective surgery to  senior patients . With the newer and more safe anesthesia used today the risk are not much more than the risk in the general population provided the patient is healthy.

The Gym ; crowded in January, empty in March

Woman excercising The Gym ; crowded in January, empty in March

Most new gym members will quit the gym after one month

New Years resolutions around the country cause people to flood into the gym on the first workout day available after the first of the year. Any experienced gym rat hates January and February when the newcomers pile into the gym.  The  majority according to a recent local article will be gone by February.

Dr Kincaid observes the same trend for new patients in the new year in his practice. often times patients have decided this is it! They elect for breast augmentation or a tummy tuck in an effort to start the new year off with a new shape. It is also common during the first of the year to have an increase in patients seeking body contouring through liposuction. If the patient is athletic and works out regularly sometimes it is tempting to diet down prior to surgery. Dr Kincaid recommends that patients do not diet down , but rather present their body at a stable weight.  Dr Kincaid explains that he will be vacuuming off fat cells and if they are made smaller due to dieting than that is not a true representation of the patients body. Dr  Kincaid can expertly sculpt almost any area of the body, including the chin, arms, lower back, and inner and outer thighs.

domestic violence Celebrities behaving badly

Domestic violence and plastic surgery could cross paths

Charlie Sheen made news recently after being arrested for domestic violence. It is alleged that he held a knife to his wife’s throat  and threatened to kill her. That is bad enough but the bigger story  is their publicist releasing a statement of reconciliation.

Domestic violence and plastic surgery unfortunately do  occasionally cross paths. In some cases many times with  the same patient. As a board certified plastic surgeon Dr Kincaid is bound to report any admitted knowledge of domestic violence injuries. As you might suspect, many patients make up stories to protect the abuser. Most commonly Dr Kincaid will treat patients with broken noses. This reconstructive rhinoplasty is more than just straightening the nose. Often times Dr Kincaid needs to perform a septoplasty (the inside of the nose). Patients may have facial lacerations that they would rather have sutured by an experienced plastic surgeon. Dr Kincaid often gets this request and if the injury was incurred during business hours he can treat the patient at his practice location.   Some patients suffer damage to the mouth and eye areas. These are both very delicate areas and Dr Kincaid may instruct the patient to wait a few days for the swelling to subside before choosing the best treatment.

Dr Kincaid encourages patients to seek professional help when domestic violence is concerned . He is committed to assisting patients in anyway possible to get justice.
